Workplace Harassment & HR pOLICIES

There came a day when everyone were happy about their standard of life improving along with burgeoning corporates long time ago. No one anticipated repercussions from this development like trauma, depression, seasonal mood swings & HARASSMENT at workplaces. Whilst, rest all could be treated fairly by doctors, only racist and sexual harassment complaints are still on the rise till date. I myself am an immigrant victim of  endemic racism in few corporates that I had previously worked for. Molesters used to hit my chair when seated at my work station numerous times and upon confrontation, they lied that they did not touch me. Taking this further to the HR's notice, they allotted me the most comfortable bay to work and the problem still persisted. Management was helpless because there was NO EVIDENCE!


 That was a funny issue to me and hence I used my brains to sort out my colleagues erratic behaviour  rather than my muscles by simply RESIGNING my position. What was convenient for me, might not be the same for other employees. Hence, I urge corporate's criminal laws to be amended ASAP with the following codes:

  • Maintain camaraderie, but not friendship at work place. This is because, many cases of malfeasance which were detected and brought to justice was when co-workers were friends and partners in crime. Don't waste time by chatting or socialising with others and this is one of the reason why a boss can get upset on you. After all, your getting paid to work for complete 9 hours. This way, confrontations, Comments, jokes & controversies can best be avoided when people maintain an arms-length relationship. 
  • Use of camera & microphone to record all floors and inside of all cabins (besides it's not expensive). Remember that 'Provocation' is a legal crime and everyone has the right to record what happens to them in case of a conflict.
  • All company policies should be on a par with court of legal laws and management should take punitive actions against incorrigible behaviour. 
  • No hangover bossing if they don't have impeccable manners because people are obnoxious sometimes when they are intoxicated.
  • Last but not the least- if the management turns a blind eye, introduce Company Specific Risk Premium (lol joking). It's actually- Police complaint them after final investigation if they say there is no evidence. 
Google Health (click) revealed news that it's HR is recommending employees to go for a mental check-up if they complain about racism & sexual harassment. Why is there no evidence? While there is a solution for every problem, improve work etiquettes by monitoring and documenting.
